Why We Started emotilink

Why We Started emotilink is simple: getting help shouldn’t be hard. I’m Chris, one of the co-founders. For years, Vanessa and I kept running into the same wall—people wanted therapy, but the path to a good fit was confusing, slow, and expensive. We built emotilink to make finding care clear, human, and flexible.

What we saw and why it mattered

Friends, colleagues, and even clinicians told us the same story: long waitlists, directories that felt like guesswork, and platforms that weren’t built for real life. We believed there had to be a better way. Why We Started emotilink was to remove the friction between intent and care so people can move from “I need support” to “I’ve found my fit.”

What emotilink changes

emotilink helps you quickly match with licensed providers who fit your needs and your schedule. The experience is mobile-first and privacy-aware, so you can take a step toward support from anywhere. If you’re new here, start with the overview of the emotilink app to see how search, matching, and messaging work together. Curious who’s behind it? Meet us on the About page.

Built for clients and therapists

Therapists deserve tools that respect their time and autonomy. That’s why we designed transparent profiles, streamlined onboarding, and flexible scheduling. If you’re a clinician, learn more on our Therapist hub and check the Provider Signup page to see how fast it is to get started.

Where we’re headed

Why We Started emotilink was to help more people find the right help, faster. We’re continuing to iterate with real user feedback and share what we’re learning on the blog. If you’re ready to begin, download the app or explore therapists now—your fit is closer than you think.

Thanks for being here,
Chris
